Finally all the parts arrived. I ordered the stud from ebay, apparently supposed to be for a motorbike exhaust. First time only an envelope arrived, it must have fallen out in transit so they resent with it taped to the paper and all fine. The metal bit that goes over the stud arrived fine...

Decided before striking up the engine after not being started for a year that I'd do the timing belt. It's been on the to do list for a while, so I really do need to do it. I got the tool thing for holding the crankshaft, but it wouldn't fit inside the pulley. Turns out the pulle comes off...

In what way were they the wrong size? I'm sure you noticed they're not symetrical, so to get the holes/pins to line up you have to rotate it in 90 degree steps to find the right way. It's of course possible someone changed the axle for a disco axle and change the propshaft end to make it fit.....

Hello, When I took apart my landy before rebuilding, I put the clamp that holds the speedo in (533765) and the bolt/stud with a nut in a safe place. So safe, I can't find it. I've ordered a new clamp, but need a new bolt or stud with a nut to go through the clamp into the transfer box - anyone...

I'm trying to decide the same. I'm rebuilding and putting in an extra feed from the battery box to either engine bay or dash somewhere. I'm going to run the can cable in the existing ducting and then either through bulkhead or just into engine bay. Its for luxuries such as radio, to start with...

So, got back in touch with bearmach and they ordered a pattern from land rover and made a new one! Tried it against the old slave/pipe and seems fine - here is the new one (left) with the two previous ones. To be fair they've been very proactive about sorting it - at least its done now...

I had a quick look at their site - they clearly are saying it's 3mm - so I'd be expecting 3mm to be sent to me. If actually the stuff they have is 2mm, then they should refund you the full amount - if they want the product back they should be paying for it.

Looks great - I hadn't spotted the write up for central locking - I may well have a go - i've just test fitted my doors, so is probably a good time. the 6mm rivnuts - are those the right size for the rear mudflap holes do you know? I have a few slightly rivnuts around which are slightly too...

I went with armstrong who are the OEM apparently. Had them on a few years without any issues.

what about just getting a swing away? I would think the first stumbling point about getting a narrow tyre/wheel would be finding a narrow wheel with a land rover stud pattern

Its a factory 200tdi with lt77...so my understanding is that the pipe and bracket should be factory.....its possible someone has messed with it in the past, but not got anything to compare it to
