Can you get a new 20" carrier from a breakers, or get a 19" for the spare.

Call the seller and see if he had really fitted the spare there. Sounds like it never did and he pulled the wool. Hopefully not though and it's a simple fix.

Absolutely, some of the young uns at work are terrible, a guy in a 1 year old transit, which was spewing oil from the crank. I said that needs sorting ASAP, "oh, It's in for service In a few weeks". Doubt it will have any oil left by then.

This☝️☝️loosing coolant at that rate is not good. When the level has dropped, air has replaced it.

Also do a MOT check on the reg number, you will get an idea of how it's been looked after.

My auto D1 has 52k on it, and is clean. We mainly use it for towing our caravan, it doesn't like hills with the caravan. What year is your mini, anything after 1983, will still have to pay for tax/mot. I don't think you will have any issues with the auto box at 20, it will just do it's thing
