Would using non standard 255/60/18 cause any problems with insurance cover ot the MOT examination?? This tyre isn't mentioned in the owners manual but there seems to be lots of people using them.

Thumbs up for Autoglass - all went well today and they brought a Pilkington Optikool tinted screen and have fitted it with no problems......just hope it doesn't leak. Thanks again to all who advised last night :)

Right thanks to all of you for all this advice, I'll make sure I'm getting the real deal tomorrow morning and if not I will refuse it. I have got a tinted screen and all of my current glass is Pilkington OptiKool and all windows except the windscreen has the LR logo so i suspect the windscreen...

Not having made a windscreen claim before I'm not sure what you get, would Autoglass normally fit OEM replacements or aftermarket stuff? I don't want to get palmed off with rubbish but not sure what I can insist on either. I'll have to look at my policy wording or is it standard clauses.

Cheers but he turned up with the wrong windscreen today so hopefully they will bring the right one tomorrow. He said something about needing a bonded screen.

Had a look at the expansion tank and it has no coolant splashed on it and I can see two pipes coming from around the neck of the tank with one of them clipped to the tank and then going straight down so maybe thats what happened. There was some coolant on the shelf under the tank and then some...
