    I bought some steel wheels off ebay (£25), suspect pre-2001 and tried fitting them to my 2003 freelander, rear wheels jsut dont look right, as described above sit flush with the drum, not on the spigot in centre of hub. Does this sound like these wheels are usuitable for my vehicle?

    Some muppet deposited a tin of YELLOW paint on road, by the time I saw it was too late, managed to miss the tin but both near side wheels went a huge puddle of it... Wheel arges now splattered in paint, very ****ed off...

    Nice one, thanks slob. Am i right in thinking the steel wheel nuts are a complete cylinder in shape, hard to explain but can see through them if that makes sense?

    No nuts, I am waiting for a set to come up on ebay. Failing that will get some from dealer. The alloys seem to sit a couple of mm's away from hub, whereas the steel ones seem to sit tight to them. Should they be ok?
