Well jesus my new filter looks totally different to the old unit, pipes come from the top which makes sense if all the crud settles in the bottom. Seriously has made a world of difference and for £12 odd well worth it. Phoebe just accelerates sooo much better.

Your quite right Gerald, it's hardly worth the effort BUT the useful info is Phoebe now accelerates like a good un so was definitely an almost totally blocked fuel filter. I'm still waiting to hear how much the repairs will cost so will keep you informed.

I don t know why I bothered to be honest. Diesel is only $160 nzd a litre here. Clean new oil isn't much more, I guess just coz it's free ! At least it's a free ride to Lidl tomorrow
