    P38A Outstanding Recalls

Hi, I know I’ve been busy with the L322 of late and have a take of jobs to do to get the P38 back on the road but I’ve just been told that there are a couple of outstanding recall campaigns on the beastie. Do do A255 or A359 mean anything to any of you ? (Other than them being toads somewhere...

    L322 Fuel Gauge Callibration

Hi, just a quickie, I’m sure I had seen a discussion about this but I can’t find it now so I wondered whether any of you fine folks might know the answer or be able to point me in the right direction. My fuel gauge is faulty, well, it’s ‘offset’. When full it reads 1/4 of a tank falling to...

    L322 2003 HSE radio connectors

I got a second unit from the bay for £20 -it was reported as working but no display. When I opened it the LCD ribbon cable was disconnected -but to avoid any potential radio code issues I took the front panel from It with the buttons and volume knob and swapped it onto my unit Connected it...

    L322 2003 HSE radio connectors

In answer to my own question…. I think the connector is for the central speaker in the dash which a previous owner may have removed from my car but which I can restore tomorrow :) All the buttons and the clock / information system / CD multi changer now work :) Happy days

    L322 2003 HSE radio connectors

Hi, I’ve a 2003 L322 which has had an ‘iffy’ radio since I got it. Some of the buttons don’t work and switching it off causes the clock To reset to 12:00 ! I have a donor unit and was going to swap the control board for the buttons across in case it’s a physical issue (some of them work, some...

    L322 2003 remote locking locked !

Hi, Thought I’d update this and ask for (yet) more help and advice… The great and the good tried everything with this and ended up having to smash the drivers window. I’ve done the lock repair and the key now physically turns the barrel -but this doesn’t open or lock the doors -I wonder if...

    L322 jacking point

I seem to have a similar issue, the O/S sill has turned to a strange reddish/brown powder when I wasn’t looking, despite having somehow passed an MOT only. A few weeks ago. The advice is…, well the sensible advice is to walk away from this money pit but i feel a really odd sense of...

L322 Does the L322 use an EKA code ?

Figured The key turns in the lock barrel 90 degrees from vertical in both directions but it doesn’t open the door :(

L322 Does the L322 use an EKA code ?

I suspect I know the answer but, getting increasingly agitated, does the L322 have an EKA code like the P38 does ? Not sure it would help me as I’m completely locked out and looking at locksmith / house brick options Thanks again Bob

    L322 2003 remote locking locked !

Hi, I’ve a 2003 L322 which has periodically shown some reticence with its remote locking. I’ve always had a ‘key battery low’ warning -despite brand new batteries in the fob, and it’s always just worked. Occasionally it would lock some doors and half-lock others but a lock / unlock cycle would...

L322 Safe jacking rear -sills too rusted to support

Hi folks, Probably a common problem but here goes… What is the safest way to jack a 2003 L332 to change a rear wheel if the ‘normal’ jacking point is unsuitable ? Is it safe to jack under the lower wishbone ? -or does this risk EAS damage ? Is there anywhere else I should try ...

L322 EAS Inactive after puncture -Easy Reset ?

It’s a 2003 -so it’s basically an X5 -I’m not even sure how much Gap IID can do with it -it seems limited to reading EAS data but not being able to control it according to their product matrix -Although I’m sure someone on here will know :)

L322 EAS Inactive after puncture -Easy Reset ?

Is that the RSW (RWS ?) beastie ? Happily I managed to persuade the helpful AA guy to scan for faults and clear them and it’s all good now (for now !) 🤞🏻

    L322 INPA Cable pin-out

Why doesn’t that surprise me 🤣 You know, I kinda like the ‘honesty’ of the P38… you know the deal you’re making when you drive one, the L322 pretends to be all Kinds of fancy !

    L322 INPA Cable pin-out

Hi, I’ve had a look around and it seems like the BMW INPA software might be a good ‘first fix’ option for a 2003 L323. I do have an ODB2 / Serial adaptor I made for my P38 to use with RSW EAS software. I read, though that there may be a different pin-out for the INPA suite. Does anyone know...

L322 EAS Inactive after puncture -Easy Reset ?

Hi, I’ve just had to drive a Couple of hundred metres to get to a safe spot after a puncture which is annoying and was a bit ‘juddery’. Now safe and trying to jack the beast up to fit the spare I’ve come up against two issues: The scissor jack is utterly blooming useless and I’ve an EAS...

    L322 Parking Sensor Fix

Hi, sorry to jump on this thread with a ‘me too’ but I have non functional parking sensors too. I get a beep ing and they switch lights up when I pop it into reverse but nothing useful. All 4 front and 4 rear appear to be ‘clicking’ will have a look at the paint issue as they do Have a bit of...

L322 Weird ‘Rumble’ and diagtool recommendation

Does the Foxwell read / write to the EAS module and allow you to callibrate the EAS heights ? And, if purchasing, do I want the JLR or the BMW one ? Thanks again Bob

L322 Weird ‘Rumble’ and diagtool recommendation

Hi, the rumbling happens in 4th and 5th in manual at the same speeds but that could still be the torque convertor as it’s only ‘semi’ manual and it still changes down automatically. I’ll get the transmission fluid changed this weekend -is it quite straightforwards in these supposed ‘sealed for...
