Tried all of the above, but no joy..... changed lift pump (under warranty), still working fine after 10000 miles....joy!!

Had the same problem a couple of months ago. After 1 1/2 hours lost power, waited 10 mins, OK for 20 mins etc. etc. Found answer on another site!!!!!! Changed lift pump (in the fuel tank), All is well after 10000 miles including several long journeys (200 mile+)

tried the jumping out and listening to the fuel cap thing........ almost sucked my ear off!!!! How do I fix it??????

My 1999 1.8i freelander loses power after 1.5 to 2 hours. Will tick over, but wont pull. If I leave it for a while, it goes fine for about 30 mins. I've been told it could be the fuel pump in the fuel tank?????? (£240 plus labour!!!!!). Any ideas..........
