1995 4.6 HSE in Caprice Blue with LPG

Hey guys, It's time to go now as we're doing so much mileage and we have been offered a much more fuel efficient car by a family member. It's a no brainer. I'm going to miss this truck, especially after I've put so much into it, but if I don't sell it my wife will end my life using nothing...

What do you think it's worth?

After having done so much to her, I will miss her. I didn't plan on selling her until the shell fell off! But opportunities like the one we have don't appear often so we're upping at the chance. ;)

What do you think it's worth?

Thanks for the info, I was hoping for more than crisps to be honest, maybe a good steak?! Seriously though. What would be a reasonable asking price? That's all I'm after.

What do you think it's worth?

Hey guys, Didn't really think I'd be selling her quite so quickly but had the offer of a lifetime from my wife's dad regarding his one owner TDi Passat estate, so it makes it a no brainer decision. Jonesey has to go! • MOT April 4th 2014 • Folder full of receipts • Few...

    Getting hot when towing

Is there any way to test the thermostat. I mean other than the put in a pan test. It's obviously working in that regard as it's opening and all the pipes are getting hot. With regard to the rad; new one or attempt to de scum the old one?

    Getting hot when towing

The aircon has never worked and the pressure is at 0 so it's definitely gonna be knackered and I really cannot be bothered to spend ages getting air con to work for the three days we'll need it!!! So I've never seen the fans work, but I used your advice in a bother post about earthing the blue...

    Getting hot when towing

Right I will check the rad next week and the stat. With regard to the mod, I've tested the fans and one is knackered and the other doesn't spin so well, so I'm going to get some replacements. Could you please give me the info for the mod as I'd like to do all of it at the same time if...

    Getting hot when towing

You're reading too far ahead I'm afraid! I didn allow it to actually overheat due to having rebuilt the engine twice already this year. It reached the last white line on the temp gauge and I turned on the heaters to prevent overheating. There is no coolant loss AT ALL. No over pressurising...

    Getting hot when towing

The engine has been rebuilt so no headgasket problems or lack of coolant. Quick question. When you press the AIR CON OFF button and the light is on, is the air con on or off. When my light is off the engine revs increase but when the light is on the engine revs drop dramatically as if the ac...

    Getting hot when towing

So how am I supposed to do that when the fan is spinning?!!

    Getting hot when towing

So the twin fans are a no then?!! Right the problem with the air on fans is that my AC doesn't work at all. Do they cut in as soon as you engage the AC? Or do you mean wire them as a manual set of addition fans? With regard to the other bits, the thermostat is an unknown but seems to be...

    Getting hot when towing

I'm sure this has been asked before but I pulled a swift twin axle yesterday with my '95 4.6 and it was fine until I got to a hill. Then the temp gauge got to the last white speck on the gauge and had to put the heaters on full to cool it down again as I didn't want to risk reaching the red...
