Not long after i posted this, my OEM sender and/or my temp gauge went out. It was not registering anything. I checked grounds, and leads. Nothing. So i ended up drilling through the original sender, and tapping for my 1/8" NPT VDO sender that i got with my VDO temp gauge. HOWEVER, not matter...

I want to add a new sender to my 200tdi engine to send a signal to a VDO gauge that i added. I want to leave the factory sender in place that signals the OEM dash gauge. I've heard the threads are an odd size anyway. So where is the best place to drill and tap a new hole? I have a 1/8"...

There is a very non-restrictive exhaust system installed on the Disco. the PO installed it. It's turbo-back, with no cats and a free-flow muffler. Sounds great, but still subtle. Again, we can do whatever we want, emissions-wise, here in Texas if it is a diesel, or over 25 years old. Does...

It looks very close to the exhaust manifold in the photo, but it is at least 6 inches away. There is still a chance it will melt or soften, but it is the least intrusive route for the hose... if it melts, i'll just install a new one and relocate. Cheap and easy.

On a related note. Does anyone know the air volume (in CFM) required by the 200TDI. My Disco was a conversion, and still utilizes the V8 air box and lots of inefficient hoses/piping installed. I plan to mount a snorkel, and want to rip out the OEM V8 airbox and install an inline air filter and...

I added it so i can adjust boost and fuel a little a time and objectively see the increases in boost, if any. You don't need to be on an incline, but it has to be under load. I.e. driving to show boost. I know i could search some and find out, but do you guys have a rule-of-thumb ratio...

Maybe i should fiddle with the waste-gate actuator arm and see about getting a little more pressure. Your readings at the top inter-cooler pipe should be the same as at the intake manifold. I may give the fuel pump a little turn as well. I live in flat coastal Texas, but plan to hit up...
