    Compression Test Values

I took the car down my MOT station today and got them to put their emissions probe in the expansion tank to look for exhaust gases. There was no reading at all. So I think I have a coolant leak rather than head gasket issue.

    Compression Test Values

    Fitting an Oil Pressure Sender

Yeh, I've thought about those, but it would be cheaper and easier if one of the other ports was useable on the pump housing

    Fitting an Oil Pressure Sender

Thanks Daz, but the problem is there is not enough clearance between the filter housing and the steering box on a V8 90 to put a t-piece in where the pressure light switch is. I was therefore hoping to use the other port?

    Fitting an Oil Pressure Sender

I'm looking to fit an oil pressure gauge to my 3.5 V8. Do I have to put in a T-piece to use the port the pressure switch is in at the moment or can I use one of the other ports on the filter housing? There isn't much clearance between the filter housing and the steering box, so I'm hoping one...

    Thermostat housing

This exact thing happened to me today. The thermostat plug sheared off clean. Even though I had the thermostat out while trying to get the remaining plug out, some of it still went down into the head. I have air-con on my disco, so the pump needed to come off to get access to the lower left (as...
