Morning, A friend of mine has a manual td4 freelander, he bought the car needing a clutch as it had no drive, he has replaced the clutch as it was totally shot.......however now it is all back together he has has no drive from 1st,2nd,3rd or 4th, but 5th gear and reverse work. Is it a shot...

I've got a friend who is looking for a part for his freelander, I've attached a picture of the part, basically it's falling to bits resulting in a water leak, other than land rover where could I find one? It fixes to the engine and has 2 water pipes running from it.

I've just checked my wiring etc and I don't actually have a connector for a subwoofer so I'm guessing mine is only the poverty system. Just out of curiosity the n/s/r doesn't unlock on the central locking could this be related to the whole left audio not working?

Evening everyone, Just an update on the range rover........ It's fixed I got it transported to the company who done the gearbox and they fixed it under the warranty. Ill get full report on Monday and find out what has been done. Thank you all for the advice on this! Much appreciated.

When i bought the Range Rover it had a rebuilt gearbox fitted by SY Motors in Birmingham which came with a warranty but for the warranty to hold any meaning the gearbox had to have the oil and filter changed 1000 miles or 1 month after the gearbox was installed.....which the previous owner...

No it was a rebuilt gearbox they had put in.

UPDATE: 1st thing i notice was this: it appears that the cover has been removed or falling off no good but thats the least of my problems. I drained the oil from the gearbox and with the oil only being in there since October it came out a redy brown colour: I then removed the sump...

Just an update, I left the range rover over night and all day today, I've just had to move it to get the wife's car out of the garage and it pulled away fine no slip.......until it warmed up? I'm having it transported to the garage tommorow for investigation.

Its a 12speaker system (no nav) it has an amplifier mounted quite low down in the compartment ill check the connectors etc tonight.

Yeah ive seen a few diagrams and photos i will photo and try and document everything so i dont get lost. Lets just hope it doesnt come to that tho.

Ok another problem i have with this Range Rover is the sound system. All the drivers side speakers work, all the passenger side ones dont inc the one on the dashboard. Ive looked in the boot and there is no subwoofer in there either?? Its a non harman kardon setup, could the missing...

Does anyone have access to a parts catalogue and prices?

I'll keep trying to get hold of them and see what they say, they will no doubt try and fob me off. If i get no where ill have a crack at it myself, how hard can it be..........:rolleyes:

I actually sold him my boxster and took this as part exchange as the Mrs wanted a Range Rover...ill blame her. The guy is an offshore worker and have been in contact with him about the problems, i have a certificate to say the gearbox has been changed it was done by a specialist in...

I bought the range rover privately, the gearbox, suspension, powersteering were all spot on, ive only had the dam thing 1 week, it had a recon gearbox fitted in October this year however it appears the warranty is void as the previous owner didnt have the gearbox serviced at the intervals needed...
