Any easy solutions for replacing the cables in the sunroof without removing the full headlining or the complete sunroof?

The sunroof of my 2004 freelander has developed a problem, I have to close it manually as one of the cables has corroded. I have changed the gear in the electric motor as I thought that was the problem, any easy solutions for removing the cable to replace or is it a complete headlining removal...
