The xyz switch was replaced. I checked the wiring loom and it appears to be ok and not rubbed anywhere. But can someone tell me what colour wire signals to the bcu that the transmission is in park?

Yes checked engine ecu for codes and nothing. Tried clearing the p0705 error but it doesn't clear.

No noise from the starter motor. I can short the starter and the starter spins, but the disco won't start.

I drive past a lr dealer on way home so got a new relay. Now when I try to start the engine i can hear a clicking from around the relay. Still not starting but I wasn't getting a click before. So that's different :) hopefully good different. But still not starting and the m&s lights still...

Got my hands on a hawkeye and plugged it in. I've got fault 14 p0705 position switch, I've already replaced the xyz switch. I had also checked the wiring to the switch and it looked ok. Is there another cause of this error?

All other lights on dash work ok. All fuses ok. Yes no voltage drop when someone turned the key on crank position.
