Thanks for all the advice. In the end took it back to dealer. They changed underseat control box and this made no difference. In the end it was a bad earth connection.

Thanks for the advice. I will try this. Yes the light around the ignition does come on, so I am guessing that there is a fualty door switch somewhere or some loose wiring. It does not make any difference which door is opened. I will let you know how I get on. Again thanks.

Can anyone help with this problem? I have just bought a 2000 Td5. The courtesy lights don't come on when doors open, ignition is turned off, or when the doors are unlocked with the remote. I have checked fuses and these seem OK. Lights can be turned on via the switch! Any ideas would be...
