Hi, it happens once I take my foot off clutch n engine slowing down. It's D not P... Louder with window open so think it's driver side to the front. It's hard to describe sound but only happens when slowing

Good morning :p I posted this again on the freelander forum with no success, is there anyone one there who has experienced a similar noise? It sounds a bit like when u use a Jake break on a lorry where the engine is slowing the car down....

Hi I have a 2003 freelander, only had it since feb.... It sounds like a moped in me engine when revs drop as slowing down - only started tonight, I changed down gears n this vibrating, grinding noise came out of me engine, bit like when u crunch the gears... Cheers bex. :eek:

Hi can anyone give me a suggestion why my freelander 03 has a strange noise when I have finished changing down the gears and the revs are dropping, I seriously thought there was a moped pulling up beside me at the roundabout then realised it was coming from my engine!! Cheers bex
