Missing tinware & hot starting problem

Thanks all, have had a good play with it today and does look like the fuel is vapourising when warm. So guess I'll live with it or change to an electric fuel pump

Missing tinware & hot starting problem

Thanks. Have found a parts diagram in the workshop manual now. Any advice on the hot starting problem and whether it's common?

    General SAG tyres

I guess i'm asking for advice on what they are worth. If £50 then i'll keep them. If £300 then will put up for sale and I can spoil my landy :-)

Missing tinware & hot starting problem

Couple of questions that I hope people can help with: 1: My landy has developed a problem when starting from hot. It's a 2 1/4 petrol model, had no problems starting when cold or warm but when hot (been running for 20 mins or so) it wont start again until it's cooled down. After googling for...

    General SAG tyres

Just bought some secondhand wheels and tyres for my series 3 that are a bit more useable on the road. Was wondering if the (immaculate) wheels and pretty good General SAG cross plies that came off it are worth anything. The last of these I saw on ebay sold for £175 for a pair and they really...

    Fuel Guage - guestimate

Can anyone explain the fuel sender set up in a series 3 to me? My guage reads 1/4 tank when full, and then stays there until it plummets to empty and a couple of miles later runs out of fuel. The speedo cable is snapped so I have no idea how many miles i've done to judge when to fill up...

Cheers all. The photos are flattering. It's been garaged for ten years by the previous owner but after a month in the rain it's looking slightly less happy already. If it stops raining this weekend i'll get some pics of the underside.

It's an authentic 1972 wheelbarrow, original Landy spec. I'm thinking of painting it grey to match the truck :)

    Tyre advice

Hi, i'm a newbie (have just introduced myself in the new member section) and am also pretty new to Land Rovers. My Series III has a set of the Mud Terrain (8 ply) General Super All Grips (which came on it), along with a Radial SAG spare. I cant fault the look they give the Landy and they are...

    Newbie

Hello hello, i've spent years in the VW show car scene but have got frustrated with shiny cars that I was scared to use. After moving to the sticks I was offered a 72 series III by a builder working at my house. It turned out to be love at first sight. Totally original and in pretty good (but...
