the gear shift goes into the park position but the P light doesn't light up on the consol or the dashboard ? all other lights (R,N,D) work and show in dash, haven't tried neutral to get the key out, I'm getting it recovered to the dealer now as has developed a battery fault and won't start now...

Hi, I hit a wall and damaged the front drivers side of the vehicle :mad: ever since that the car doesnt recognise Park! and wont let me remove the ignition key ??? Any Ideas please anyone, its a TDV8 2007 Vogue SE ? really cant keep leaving it with the key in and cant even lock it with the spare...
