Seen/used 'em when i was offshore. - as said they use a lot of air, noisy and you need to protect lungs (if there's a lot of dust) And can cause "white finger"(?) from vibration - if used a lot.
Otherwise, they're very good!
Welcome!
They're a good bunch on here - ask a stupid question and you'll get your head nipped!
Don't spit your dummy out, stay good humored, don't get offensive, give as good as you get and you'll be fine!
I'll be honest and tell you i'm in Aberdeenshire.
-That said, i agree with the guys above.
Secondly, if you've got contaminated fuel - it won't just be your injectors, How about your filter, pump, lines - in fact everything from the tank to injectors.
This is something i'd attempt myself - if i...
We've got this with our bank (Clydesdale Bank) - used it twice with landy (Ours is through Green flag)
Check the small print!
- they've since added 'cop outs' - Breakdown must be within 10 miles of home and car must be less than 6 years old.
-Pretty pointless if...
-Was my thoughts too - wife had a vauxhall that did this. earth loose and 'leccy' used throttle and clutch cable for earth. Clutch cable lost the battle and completely fused solid. (nice earth line though!)
Well guys ......solenoid finally packed up -Manifested itself by supply wire to it catching fire!
SO - the question is, if i get a new solenoid, is this a false economy? Would i be better getting a new starter motor and one of those modern (flattish solenoids that bolt to the bulk head)
-Or...
When i got my series 3 - had lots of problems with lighting and indicators. previous owner had used scotch block and 3 core mains lead on all the lights FFS!
Took me a couple of weekends to sort out!
Scotch block is for temporary - i'll say that again - TEMPORARY fixes! - and certainly...
Took a deep breath, got it sorted and put it down to experience. The guy's usually pretty good - i know if it passes then it is 100% (at least, until i drive it out of his garage!) - i think he must of had an off day!
These boxes - were they in a sort of 'T' configuration? two boxes together in each place one pointing say, north-south and the other east-west?
This would then cover all attitudes that the vehicle could get into.
-just a thought - special forces use RR's - not one of them is it? Although i was...
Thats nuthin! my series 3 went in 3 times - passed third time. kept going outside the 10 days for retest (due to weather and/or delay in parts arriving) - So it would go in and get a full re-test and he'd find some other bloody thing wrong!
-Still its sorted now (i'll go over it with a...
I think you'll find that your comments only get read if you use certain 'keywords' which software picks up. "Bomb" is a good one - and so is "Jihad". - So don't use words like "Bomb" or "Jihad".
ps - welcome to the faceless 'Black hats' at GHQ who are now reading this thread!
109 diesel - drive for a while and when i go to change gear, the pedal just gives way to the floor. if i pump it - it then starts to work. Fluid is still there. appears to be no leaks. - Any ideas?
ok - as you've also done a bit of research on these chip no's - i won't go too deep!
