    thanks for the feed back. I have just checked to see if the shoes are central, and they look to be (same space between the back plate and shoe) and the pushed rod is also adjusted correctly (followed instructions in manual). any other idears or things to check. thanks again

    Thanks for the help, I managed to fit them yesterday by tacking a diffrent route the old ones took and they are just touching the axel, so there is some movement.

    Thank you both for the advice. I tried to bleed the breaks but found one of the bleed nipples on the back was broken off, so I have now ordered two new wheel cylinders to replace the back end breaking system. I also just put it through an Mot knowing it would fail but to see if any other work...
