Jack, Thanks for that, I will check the levels although I've just had it serviced so they should be OK. Had a pulley replaced a couple of years ago but the sound from the knackered pulley was a squel and it didnt go away. I'll get the tensioner looked at. Eric

Thanks for the reply I asked the garage to look at it during the MOT in November and a new belt was fitted. It was better for a couple of days and then started again.
