Thanks for the info guys, wasn't sure whether it was just the central locking actuator of the full door lock i need but its sounds like its the full door latch mechanism, just found one on the bay for 65 quid so will try that. Thanks again.

Hello Names Allan and i'm new to landrovers and forums. Have been a Shogun man for years but bought a 2004 Disco TD5 Pursuit with 106K on it last month (rightly or wrongly time will tell). I have started to addopt that "Oh Well" attitude tho, when things dont quite work how they should...
