Hi, is it necessary to remove the compressor drive belt and undo the top alternator mounting bolt and pivot the alternator to the front to change the manifold on a 2005 freelander 1.8 petrol

Hi, how did you get on with changing that manifold, i intend to change mine tomorrow and the Haynes manual says you need to move the alternator out the way and also remove the drivebelt (if it has air con) witch mine has. Is this a hard job me and my mate are on level 2 in vehicle maintenance...

Love mine it's a 1.8 xei 2005 Drives fine no regrets so far, although i will be selling it soon as i'm saving up for a Discovery 3
