Absolutely agree - my wife is moaning about it too!! Like you, I have removed the offending part and re-installed the original unit until need to use the trailer or caravan again.

Mouse - The original flasher unit was working fine with no clicking noise from either the wipers or brake lights, so I assume it must be caused by the new relay which may be par for this relay with the freelander. What should I have seen in the "Before you post" bit?

I recently fitted a heavy duty Lucas flasher relay as part of the towbar fitting. The indicators, lights and brake lights all function correctly but there is a constant clicking when the wipers are operating and the same when the brake pedal is depressed. Any ideas?
