Hello my mums got a 56 reg old shape td4 freelander and its got a terrible flat spot between tickover and about 2300revs, its so easy to stall at junctions and roundabouts and u have to thrash it to get it anywere, a friend said to stop it it needs chipping. is there any ideas out there because...

i had a go in a TD5 defender Xreg of a good mates the other day that has had IRB develpments parts, turbo, intercooler re map etc etc, even got 22" rangie alloys, i acctully cant belive the power, it will spin all 4 wheels in 2nd and 3rd, i njust thought id share my exitement haha

i found the problem! its the big bush ontop of the back axel

yeah that sounds about right, about 3/4 throttle she pulls like a train, shes in dock at the minite up on a friends garage ramp havin wheels bearings done, new swivle seals, new tank brockets and welding, and new outrigger, poor old girl,

so far all we have done to tweek her is alter the rack screw about 1/4 of a turn, she dosent smoke everytime i put my foot down on normal trips but if u put her in a lower gear and give it to her there is a big trail of smoke :D was talkin to a lad in the pub who has a 300tdi block with 300tdi...

hello there, my friend 'tubber' and me gave my 200tdi 90 a tweek on the pump the other day and i cant belive the difference in power, it left my dads 2.8tdx daihatsu behind in a big trail of black smoke, i am getting more power hungry now, what do u think is the best mod to get abit more power...

i think i have found were that clunk comes from, a mate richard rekons it is a ball joint under the front axel that is in a wish bone typre tink apparently its gotta be pressed out, ???

iv checked insurance as iv got a 1.1 peugeot 206 to learn in an drive for abit till i get a bit of a raise! can u belive it is £4856 a year to insure my car, yes i did say £4856! i cant belive it, land rovers £800 cheaper but its running the old girl that i would find difficult so the peugeot...

my 200tdi 90 has a clunk when u engage the clutch, its not the UJ's or diff's and it sounds like its at the front end, and also if u park it in gear with hand brake on u can move the front prob a substantial ammount but its not the UJs and poss somesthing in gearbox, do you rekon its where the...

my J reg 90 as u probably know is rusty in a few areas which i have all sorted bar 1 niggly problem, theres a strip of metal eather side of the rear tub under the window about an inch wide and run the full length of the rear end, the 1 has a rust hole and others on the way, i cant for the life...
