If the td5 engine has seen an over temp situation it will lock the a/c fan in, only way to stop it is with diagnostics.

Have a search for vbbleeding coolant system 300tdi. In a nut shell remove stat bung, fill header tank until level in tank reaches the level mark, refit tank cap and fill rest of system through stat bung, reift stat bung and try again, if still the same I would hazartd a guess you have head...

Common as muck, I have just changed a jcb one today, that to was leaking diesel. Iirc the rough rule was if the throttle shaft is lekaing a new seal will work for a short period of time, what it really needs is a throttle shaft and seal, and if you are not sure a full refurb may be the way to...

You can buy throttle shaft repair kits. Seach Lucas CAV injection pump seals/repair kits etc. Vids on youtube.

Check the o ring on the bleed screw on the tank itself.

Remove the guts from the stop solenoid and try again. Does the injection pump buzz with ignition on?

I think that is bit of a myth. So long as it meets standard even if only just then it must be good enough. Been running my d3 on morrisons and asda fuel for years.

Year of car? Shims should be equal top and bottom to keep seal centred. Early axles are different. Could be pins/bushes/bearings worn.

I reckon that clutch pipe will foul the floor/trans tinware. Think mine is very close.

The cheapo britpart ones are not bad, mine has been on for a few years now, not as well made as bosch etc, but the bosch one was the one that died!
