i know this is an old thread but when you say the stalk should slide right off, i've removed the 2 securing screws but i can't seem to release the stalk. can someone please put it in idiot terms for me thanks in advance :)

ok, like the weather here....things have changed. i tried a little wd40 on the stalk connections etc just to see if it could be coaxed into working for a while longer and now if i connect the plug into the stalk the lights come on even with the l/h and r/h fuses out! I is confuddled :(

right, found a stalk at the local breakers for £10, just need to work out how the old one comes off. can anyone enlighten me on how it comes off?

looking at it i'm assuming the steering wheel needs to come off, is it an easy job to disconnect airbag etc?
