Starter motor is fine, think i caught the fault before futher damage was done, just waiting for the flywheel now. Whats the general opinion in the need to replace flywheel/engine bolts ? thanks

My Rear diff has failed on a discovery 2 2003, I need to move the car to a garage to fix it. Can I just remove the rear prop and drive in front wheel drive only. The centre dif can be locked to give drive to the front. The garage is only 5 miles away. many thanks
