My 53 plate TD5 made some clicking ticking noises from the dash area and then both speedo and rev counter stopped working any idea what the problem could be ??

Any ideas ?? My 53 plate td5 suddenly lost both rev counter and speedo reading heard a ticking/ clicking in dash before they stopped any ideas of the problem ??
