What did you do with your Range Rover today

Put it on four axle stands. Then you can feel for play in the UJs, diff & transfer bearings. My project one has front diff noise. It did have slight play in UJs but changed them now. Or drop props at one end & feel it while things are loose.

    P38A Height Sensor replacement

Also, your values above look like the car is rather low, or at Access height. Standard is usually similar to this:

Two options. In both cases, you manually adjust the corners to correct height, and then save the values from the height sensors into the ECU. Start with High Mode. Then do Standard, Motorway & Access in order. 1) Use the measurements above & a tape measure. 2) Use blocks between chassis &...

    P38 Nanocom EDC fault code?

It does tell you in the Nanocom EDC guide. It does tell you in the Nanocom EDC guide.

    P38A EAS fault

Mine did this again yesterday evening. About 45 seconds to go from High to Standard.

Those front target heights nee to be within +/- 2 of each other. When below 1mph, the EAS opens the two front valves only, to level the front axle. With unbalanced front Target Heights, the system will cycle between moving to target, and leveling the front. Also it would be better to get...

    P38A Dash Lifting Demist Vents

You could try "Stiks Like Sh1t - Rapid" from Screwfix. It's brilliant stuff, but getting it under the dash vinyl might be challenging.

    P38A EAS fault

Yes all exhaust air goes the same route. No idea why they sometimes do this, but my green P38 has done it a few times recently.

+1 on only use 9V battery on solenoids, or do it via the driver pack so they het the "hit & drop" waveform. The diaphragm solenoid is the only one that can be tested with 12V, because it's wired in parallel with the pump.

    P38A Height Sensor replacement

First before you start swapping sensors, what are the target heights ?? Take a photo of the Inputs screen. It might simply need calibrating.

    P38A Height Sensor replacement

While I agree there could be unexpected behaviour, I'm not 100% convinced it would cause height errors itself. Unfortunately there not any real info out there that I have found. Nigel Hewitt's page does give some help, no definitive details on the real protocol. The Up & Down switches from...

    P38A Bulb Failure message preconditions?

It probably measures the current, and alerts if it's too low or open circuit. It might also check for excessive current or short, but RAVE only mentions bulb failure detection. Tail, Brake & Fog lamp share same output for car & trailer. For indicators the rear & trailer are fed from...

EAS Door input is on Pin-34 on C117. Look for PO wire (Purple / Orange Stripe).

    P38A Height Sensor replacement

Measure the resistance at the height sensor. Then re-connect, and measure the same wires at the ECU. There will be small differences, but any open circuit wires should show up. Then decide whether the take seats out, carpet up, or just run new wires !!

Cruise pump uses LH connectors - see picture. RF footwell white connectors (C101 & C102). Just search RAVE for these two (Control F3 & search). Cruise wiring (except pump) Various ECU diagnostic connections Brake Switch Some of the HEVAC stuff Some of the Instrument wiring Etc. Etc.

According to RAVE the loom goes from each height sensor directly to the EAS ECU.

But the height sensors do not go via those connectors !! Soldering C104-C204 and C207-C357 did sort other stuff like these: EAS timer relay diagnostic trigger EAS Height Switch Dodgy audio glitching Cruise control, Ambient air sensor SRS diagnostics

    P38A HEVAC Blend Motor Testing

Yes but eBay is quicker & easier than China. RS & Farnell postage is silly for a few op-amps, although they do stock the dual 16way+12way socket on the HEVAC PCB if I ever want to change that.
