My TD4 was 'misfiring' and the fault was a knackered injector. Do check my other post regarding a great repair centre for injectors.

Chaser hmmm, I think it may well be the injectors now, as I purchased a new Cam Sensor from the local dealer (£100 with the VAT!) and swapped it..................... to be frank it's made no difference, so I conclude its not that which is the problem. Shame really, as £100 to test something...

Chaser Thank you, I'll look at this and see if I can fix it myself. Is is a simple job of taking out the old sensor and replacing with a new one, based on it being accessable, or is it hidden away somewhere annoying ?

Hi Seems to be lots of poor cold starting TD4's here, but how about poor warm starting ? Mine is OK at cold starts. Glow Plugs show for a few secs, turn the key, usually about 3-4 cranks and boom, no problem. However, I note the opposite on a warm start. Lots of cranking and a limp start...

Hi All Have to agree with one of the previous comments regarding the poor 1.8 MPG. I have a TD4 2003 and on a recent trip to Scotland got 502 miles out of a single tank. I regularly get 450-475 out of a tank on a mix of Motorway and Town driving
