    Please help me decide on 05 Freelander

    I own a 1.8 petrol '04 plate liked the looks, didn't know about the faults, rash decision wish I had got a diesel now, MPG is terrible and HGF on mine was at about 43000 miles 2 weeks after buying and luckily under warranty. I don't think you will stay on good terms with your neighbour if you buy it

    Sod it im going 2wd!!

    So you just remove the rear prop shaft and hey presto 2WD or is there more to it than that? How does it affect anything else is MPG affected? Thinking it may be a stop gap if I find my VCU is on the way out

    Cheers, will take it to find out what is actually wrong then, have found out it makes a great garden ornament whilst parked up so it may be adorning my front garden once again!
