Thanx . I've checked the fault codes and nothing there , so i have added some fuel additives to see if it's a simple issue with that . I'll keep you posted .

It only happens on the first start up of the day

Anyone know why my Tdv 6 has a brief lack of power when i start it in the morning? After start up , i have no power for the first 20 feet i drive and then its normal there after all day . I have the EGR valves blanked off .

How do i replace a faulty front parking sensor on a '05 D3 Tdv 6 ?

no , i guessed it would work out more exspensive to buy a waranty than to take a chance and do without one.

thanks !! i'm not sure my dealer is correct , but they think its the belt tensioner at the front , although the noise seems to come from the rear . I will change the tensioner any way , and see what happens . How much is a new turbo if it turns out to be at fault ? There is no noise when...

i've got it booked into my dealer for tomorrow , so hopefully i'll be able to share the result of what this noise is :)

Hiya folks , i've recently gained a whoosh whoosh noise , that seems to come from the back of the engine on my '05 D3 . Can be heard plainly when engine is ticking over .. Anyone any idea what this might be ?? Z.:confused:

No , it hasn't changed much really . It had droped down to 18 mpg last year , but i discovered the E.G.R valves were clogged up , so i removed them, had it re-maped and fitted a high flow air filter , which took it up to were it is now .

thanks for your relpy !! I do keep it serviced at my dealer and at correct service intervals , so i guess ,therefore ,they should be fine . Had thought changing them might have improved on the 22.2 mpg that i'm getting from it .. Z

Hi folks . My '05 D3 has 77 ,000 miles done now and i'm wondering if i should get the injectors replaced or reconditioned. I am not having any problems with my D3 , but would doing this be of any advantage or would it be money down the drain ?? Z:confused:

I see , thanx for that !! Have had E.G.R. valves removed too , remaped and K+N ait filter fitted. Does around 26 mpg now and is a dream to drive ..Love it !!

Car sorted :D Turned out that the compressor was the faulty part , and needed changed. Had the lone of an '03 D2 while mine was gettin fixed :) . Its for sale at McCartney motors , Larne if anyone is lookin for a nice red one ... I think they are lookin around £8K for it Thanx for everyones...

hiya , have a '05 disco 3 and had suspension warning lamp on for a few miles , then it wouldn't lift on front axle after start up . It keeps saying it will lift when it cools down , and also had selected off-road height on rear axle all on its own ! I lowered car right down , and now it won't...
