    So i gather i'm in the wrong section then by those comments, thinking now my dads car is a discovery am i right. He has only just brought it and i know nothing about these at all.

    Right i'll have a look at that then. The stereo my dad wanted me to fit has 2 iso sockets at the back so i connected the iso plugs that matched but there is another iso plug that just has 2 wires connected and the wire colour IS red and the other black. I've never fitted anything in a land rover...
