Maybe the wrong word to use. I meant sandpit as in a large pit were huge machines dig out sand, not childrens playground. :) Maybe my dictionary didn't have the best choice of words. :)

The sandpit wasn't that big. And ,no i didn't have any kids in the car. :)

The BFG AT are useless for off-road. I have used these tires myself. Works ok in dry conditions, but when it is a bit muddy they just fills the threads. It like driving on slicks. To bad BFG stopped producing the Trac Edge, they were just great. I still have a set of them on the Series III rims...

The Insa remoulds are great......have i been told by a friend who just bought them. They make a lot of noise on paved roads though.

No problem fitting 245/75x16. You may encounter slighty rubbing between tires and fenders during large axle articulation. I have heavy duty springs on my -84 RR, with maybe 1-2" lift. No problem with brake hoses either. I have currentl fitted 235/85x16 on series III rims. That works fine also...

I did find the answer. The 3-bolt is no longer in production. The 4-bolt will fit the car, but the hose fittings are metric instead of imperial on the 3-bolt.
