I am also 17, and just got a mini, 1.3, own policy, £661... Mate(17) has a defender(i couldnt afford the car), and he pays £1200 with footman james, own policy, TPFT, i think it has to be atleast 15 or 20 yrs old.... Hope to help, good luck.

Current ones that are on are double rail, black...rusty... Looking for either the same again, or stainless steel equivalent, but they must be double railed ones... Any ideas to stockists? Thanks

Thanks for the advice, so far, i have had a quote for £1156, which is rather good for 17 i think :) Don't mind doing something myself, but not too keen on buying something that needs welding doing really....

I'm 17, looking to get a Disco within the next year(ish). The limit is about 3k, inc one year ins, leaving about 2k for the car...The condition is that it must be 15 yrs old. Where are the main points to look out for on a Disco...Sills, Arches etc..? Had a search, anyone got any thin...
