No problem, you may find if you look down the front of the rad, between it and the intercooler at the bottom there is a plastic ledge that is clipped onto the bottom of the rad it makes a good gutter and sometimes there may be traces of A/F on it, just as an extra check, I mean you don't want to...

I had the same prob mine was the bottom of the rad leaking 1 new rad later and coolant level steady :D p,s if you take the undertray off and look at the bottom of the rad on the drivers side you may find the ally stained pink from the antifreeze

testbook is a computer interrogation and programming system that LR main dealers and also some independents have, I dont know whether the autologic system and the like have the same facilities but it may be worth a phone call as independents tend not to ask so much for their time.

I think anyone with testbook can do it as long as you have the barcode.

Its near the Turbo, there's a solenoid and an arm leading to a lever on the turbo you should just be able to move it while it's still connected or it should flop about disconnected, and I did have a similar problem and it was the fuel pump in the tank just not supplying enough fuel

also could be fuel pump or turbo waste gate sticking

I just found it strange to block it off totally by all means restrict it but this makes it a dead leg in the system

I don't know but I have a feeling the black & decker may be coming out if the original has a hole I don't like the idea of it over heating

After a few calls the only thing I came up with was that the cooling system was too efficient so the oil cooler connection was blocked off to allow the engine to get hotter, the pipe connector was left there to avoid any re plumbing, somehow the letting the engine get hotter bit sort of goes...

The one on there at the moment has a hose on it I think its the engine oil cooler

Does anyone out there know why the upper of the two 16mm pipe connections on a new TD5 radiator would be blanked off?

Does anybody know if you can get replacement brushes for the motors and if so from where? only a friend of mine needs some or failing that a new motor Cheers

2000 TD5 needs new rad what do i use OEM or pattern, any suggestions?

no probs! just had a bit of a crap morning and I bit where I wouldn't normally

bull**** seems a bit harsh, I had been told that it only worked in low box and have never bothered to try otherwise!!!
