thanks, ive got a 200tdi discovery, its quite standard but has 2inch lift and a/t tyres. i dont realy want to do anythin to drastic as i use it for work every day and cant afford to trash it

ok ive bin looking for some os maps but i cnt find any in the shops ive visited, what is memory map? im from stoke on trent but when i ask people from round here there all seem to say they dont no of any.

i want to do some green laning in the peak district but i havnt a clue of where to start or go. can any one point me in the right direction please

hi there, i run a 200tdi and it runs mint on neat heating oil, i dont mix it with normal diesel or anythin and iv had no problem, its harder to detect this fuel in the tank as its the same colour as diesel, the only diffrence is that its smells abit sweeter but you'd have to no this to discover...

the banging noise is occasional but does it in a straight line and wen i turn when traveling, yes i filled them with cv grease. no i didnt shim them up as wen i put it back together there wos no play in the wheel. ill bear in mind that you have some shafts because if the other side goes then...

eventually finishd he rebuil on friday as there wos a problem getting the cv joint, only thing is iv still gt a banging noise but only occsional and cnt find what it is

took it to bits today and found the problem, the top and bottom swivel house bearings are nackerd an the cv joint has smashed, and cant get the parts till nxt week

bin to landranger services today and theyve told me that its the swivel bearings at the top and bottom aswell as the cv joint, ill be taking it to bits tomorow as i want to go do some laning at the weekend.

ok thanks for that ill visit a local place called landranger services tomorow and price the kit up, would this cause the noise tho or could it be the cv joint aswell?

rite then iv bin outside looking at the disco and things dont look to good, there seems to be quite alot of play in the actual swivel unit, is this something that can be shimed or tightend in any way and would this cause the banging?

thanks for the reply but i put a wheel bearing kit in about 3 months ago so is it more likely to be the cv joint?
