Does anyone know how to get the rear door trim on the bottom half of the tailgate off when the door is closed? I believe the cable has snapped, tailgate will not open.

That's exactly what i mean. Any ideas of how to get the trim off to look at it with the door shut?

That was my first thought. The door flexes at either side but no movement in the middle. That makes me think it is possibly the lock not operating but looking for someone who knows about how this all works.

My disco 3 tailgate will not open. I can hear the lock operating when I try the handle but nothing happens. I have tried the emergency opening using the keys on the dash but still not luck. Anyone got any ideas?
