A mate of mine has a 2.5 tdi, it's an early one 1991 "J" reg he has had it looked at by a garage and they say it needs a gearbox (not a transfer box) so can i ask you which types of gearbox(es) fit's please? is it likly to cost a fortune? to have someone fit a secondhand box if that's the case...

Newbie suggestion but could it not be because the lpg fuel has less lubricant than the unleaded fuel which the engine was designed for? or is it common to both petrol and gas engines, i know they are all petrol etc but could it not be similar to the old 4 or 5 star petrol, folks using unleaded...
