Yeah mate it does have it but im also going through a 3 amigos stage!!! Which my non landrover mechanic also cant get to the bottom of!!!! He has replaced a rear abs sensor which showed up on a diag test and cleared the codes bue the lights wont extinguish :doh:

So i checked the sensor today the connectors are fine and it seems to be in place, and the relucor ring on the new cv joint is also fine, The red handbrake warning light was on initially when the three amigos appeared an extinguished when the mechanic cleared the fault codes, well it came back...

The mechanic tried clearing the code again today, but with no joy!! Yeah it was a reluctor ring i couldn t remember what it was called!! I will have a check that the sensor is positioned correctly, thanks very much for the advice:D

Thats what i kinda thought mate!!! So do you happen to know of any equipment for the task? Or is it the garage again!?!

Could anyone please tell me if one of these cheap,generic fault code readers(OBDandEOBD compatable) will communicate with the abs ecu on a 2001 td4 freelander? Everyone seems to have a different opinion on this! Any help appreciated!

Cheers for that bud, by tippex test do you mean marking the vcu and the propshaft to see if they stay aligned?? If the vcu was seized would the car still operate in 4wd??
