    Much worse mate. On a flat road once its moving it not too bad. Setting off or show it a hill, and it drives like a moped.

    No marks on it at all. I've spaced it anyway just to try it and there's no difference. Oyher possibilities coul be coil pack? Inlet manifold? Any thoughts? Thanks very much to all who have replied

    That thought did occur to me. However its running like a bag of spanners and its passed its mot today with flying colours. If the cat was blocked or collapsed I would have thought it would be reflected on emissions? Ill have a gander anyways. Thanks

    I've had crank sensor off. There isn't a spacer on it at all. Where did you put your spacer? Thanks jon

    Hi all, I really hope someone can help as I'm at my wits end. I went laning a few weeks ago and half way through the day my 1996 p38 4.6, started sounding rough, lacking power and backfiring. I later found out the exhaust manifold was cracked and it was replaced. However, the problem persisted...
