In the distribution head on the back of pump, the rotor sheds its hard layer, pushing swarf through the injectors, i think claret accelerates the process!

A well known problem with 200tdi pumps, accelerated by poor fuel quality

I suspect you have a loose connection

Charge the battery or it’s time to replace it
