well am going to take all wheels off at the weekend and check for anything odd, if nothing comes up there only think left is servo and cylinder

could it possibly be the vac pump that has gone?

and well yes the floor is rubber but i do have carpet at the back of pedels and at sides :P

had i look at carpet an it feels dry and there doesnt seem to be any fluid down the brake pedal itself. could it be a seal some where thats letting air in but no fluid out ?

Been driving with out the radio on today and i noticed a strange squealing coming from the gearbox, its goes away when coasting which made me think it was gearbox. could it be i just need a top up of oil?

i wired it to power to purple and orange/white and then black one for earth. it also cuts out if i have been coasting for too long. As far i as i can see its wired up ok but i may b wrong :/

hey installed a cd player into my 89 defender and having a bit of trouble on the power issue, it starts up ok and goes load but when i either brake or turn the lights on it will turn off and then come back on. is it a battery or alternator fault??

make sure you check the earth wire, at the starter motor and also where it connects to body. That exactly what was happening to me when my spade connector kept coming off
