Apparently this is the place here in Portugal https://www.motormaquina.com/ For anyone breaking down near Lisbon or Porto (or elsewhere in PT) And a great Freelander specialist just south of here is Nuno Sousa who is a great guy and a great mechanic - contacts and translations on request : )

    VCU Torque test results

Thanks I completely understand just using this as a comparative test - I was just curious I did my own spreadsheet: analysis from the data from around your link If speed was simply proportional to the torque the power of x in the below would have been -1, but its not. Interestingly (for a geek...

    VCU Torque test results

Not my area, but I would take the comma out as then its clearer that all three methods all apply to the trigonal oxygen site etc and not just transition intensity modelling. Whatever the **** they are However, Oxford commas are always a bit of a moot point If I were him I would leave it in and...

    VCU Torque test results

You'd have to plot 1/time as that equation has N which is revs That equation makes sense, as you increase weight &/or lever arm, the speed of rotation (N) increases and so the time to do 1/4 of a revolution decreases. The equation also tells us that 1/time should vary linearly with length &/or...

    VCU Torque test results

Hi! Has anyone tried tests to see how the time varies with weight and lever arm length? From this it seems that Revs/min is simply proportional to torque (weight x lever arm) I know its not the same geometry, but its an 'engineering' equivalent system and everyone's VCU is the same...

    Freelander 1 Oil Cooler

Hi, 2001 FL1 Td4 I have had a bit of oil in the water for a while but no overheating or steam or smoke in exhaust, temp fine (even in 30 + C Portugal weather) or anything suchlike. But suddenly the temp gauge was creeping up to halfway, which wasn't that alarming but higher than normal and so...

Freelander 1 VCU very stiff. Will it damage anything to use it for a day off-road &/or will I get stuck?

    1. Laziness 2. Lack of money 3. Being Portugal lack of access to materials, especially the silicon fluid in VCU

Cheers @GrumpyGel I have actually done that track in a 1971 veedub camper with a vw-porsche engine i put in. I made it there and back although it was pedal to the metal or die a lot of the time ! The prop is only on for inspections once a year. I just thought I could pop it on for a day to try...

Freelander 1 VCU very stiff. Will it damage anything to use it for a day off-road &/or will I get stuck?

Hi, My VCU is so stiff that the wheel-off-ground test pretty much never completes So, I understand that driving it every day on the road will not do the car any good, but .. What are the consequences of me just using it like that to go off road down a sandy track for a day? Both in terms of...
