My remotes just stopped working the other day. They won't lock or unlock the vehicle. Have swapped for new batteries and still no joy - any ideas?

Had a problem with my immobiliser/alarm on my disco 300tdi. Solved now using the 4 digit code bypass. The problem is when I come to lock the door with the key, the immobiliser/alarm re-initiates! and I have to go through the bypass procedure again - how do I bypass it and keep it bypassed...

I don't have the handbook - it didn't come with the car - any help appreciated - got to go to work tomorrow and can't get my car to work.

I have a 300TDI Disco '97. This morning came to drive it and the central locking won't work. Used the key and the alarm went off! Any tips? Can I isolate the alarm system in any way? Worked absolutely fine yesterday and for the last 12 months since I bought it.

Got a '97 disco 300. It takes about 15-20 turns for it to fire up initially with a lot of black/grey smoke. If you stop it and re-start within 2 hours everything is fine but beyond 2 hours then it takes ages to start again - any ideas?

Yes it's a 300 TDI - will the solenoid need replacing or will the wire be loose or dirty?

The front windows work fine it's just the rear.

I have used good replacements but it keeps blowing. I have tried the repairing solder trick but it doesn't work. Anyone any ideas on bypassing the ECU?

I have had a problem with my rear electric windows on my 97 discovery for a while now. I have replaced the ECU 3 times but it keeps blowing in the same place. Does anybody know how to bypass the ECU for the rear windows and is it safe?

Have tried the MFU test and I don't get the beeps but everything works on it apart from the rear wiper - the ECU for the window has also now died. I soldered a dry joint on it but it has now gone in another 3 places! Anyone know where I can get hold of another? I live in France and scrap yards...
