hi all tested yesterday, sign of relief not ecu or modulator. faulty rear abs sensor managed to get one for 150 pounds, the sensor that had gone was the same one that the brake cylinder seals had gone on thanks for all help

hi Guys , its all booked into a local 4x4 garagenext friday,they reckon they can read the codes . Fingers crossed not too expensive to sort. I will let you know what it is when I find out thanks guys

I live 30 odd miles from nearest landrover dealer , does it need to go there or does a local garage allowed/ able to read the codes. I assume you can't do this yourself thanks

ok thanks guys for help so far, will check this the weekend ,any help with how to remove sensors would be good, can't see any ovivious way of removing them. trip to breakers required I think If none of this works i think trip to dealers to diagnose thanks

hi Mondo been out for a blast safe to say abs not working slid nicely on gravel back road,almost at the banging head against a wall stage now , would faulty brake switch cause abs to shut down thanks for help

am i confused now or what,ok its a 1999 1.8 k series(what difference does the year make). Does the brake switch fault need the ABS ecu to be reset by dealer . I will try breakers at the weekendbut if you can look to see how to remove would make it easier to remove at breakers. I will go out now...

hi guys thanks for all the help so far,no joy with abs yet the testbook prog is this landrover only or do local garages have the equipment to do this if there is a way to clear it myself that would be great at least it would confirm whether changing the brake switch fixed it or not also is there...

hi , tried to get abs to work roads too dry I'll have to find some gravel to try it on, also looked at back brakes wheel cylinder had gone Ihave replaced both cylinders and shoes, would this have caused lights to come on thanks in advance

hi don't know if abs working will try tomorrow and post , HDC doesn't appear to be working no brakes coming on

with reference to the ticking noise, do you have a stainless steel exhaust, they tend to make ticking noises when they're coolig down

hi hope someone can help just fitted a genuine Land Rover Freelander Quick Release towbar STC7996 with plug in electrics , followed instructions but there is no plug point on my freelander, I have as 1999 aniversary model thanks in advance
