I had the same problem with my 2a, tried magnets but it was well jammed in so had to take the diff off in the end, i found lifting the tub floor out made it a much simpler job...

Nah, don't need batteries... just a realy long extension cable! anyway, I got a new set from somewhere else, just wanted to sell these ones that don't fit cos they're now living in my dinning room...
