Test Car For my new Lynx Diagnostic Wanted near Inverness

    wobble at 65mph in p38!

Thanks guys, your were right! :) Changed whole set of wheels and tyres this afternoon and seat wobble gone at last :D Although the tyres all have good tread depth I have noticed that the rubber has started to perish in between the tread, so looks like a new set of all terrain tyres is on the list.

    Water in Sump...

Personally i would remove the sump, rocker cover and oil filter to clean every thing and blow an air line down the oilways. Then fill with thin oil to run it for a few miles then drain it out and replace with fresh oil. Good luck!

    Linkage adjustment panel missing Autobox

Hi Charlotte, I own an 87 D plate 3.5efi Auto Rangie, and the only cover plates on the gearbox tunnel are where the gearstick levers poke through. The plastic console will need to be removed first, then you will see the panels. These are pop riveted in place but can easily be drilled out and...

    What do you think?

Hi PikeyRange :) You'll be hard pushed to find a good diesel rangie for a bag of sand or two. :D If fuel costs are an issue then i would purchase a good rangie and then convert it to run on LPG as well as petrol. LPG is well cheap and you would soon recover cost of conversion, especially if...

    Rangie Mis-behaving

Hi Big Al, :) I would agree with mikeljones that it sounds like an ECU problem. The ECU is normaly the cause of behaviour problems with running and ticking over of the 3.5. Providing you have checked the basics first, then you should try to borrow an ECU and swop it over to see if it cures...

    Lifting My Rangey 1988

Hi Muddyman, Yes you could fit 4inch longer springs and keep your 2inch longer shocks. Your rangie would sit higher but you would'nt gain any more articulation. To get more articulation with the longer springs either fit 4inch longer shocks or keep the 2inch longer shocks and change the shock...

Hi Stu, I own a RR 86 3.5efi that im currently restoring.:D It is getting a 1inch bodylift, 2inch suspension lift and running 275x85x16 grizzly claws. My rangie is for playing and towing and spends 90% of its time off road, and 10% towing my caravan. Ive found the grizzly claws excellent off...

    Hunting at idle

Hi Owen, I had this exact problem on mine. Unfortunatly it turned out to be a problem with the ECU, bought second hand ECU and problem sorted. :) Try and borrow someones ECU and swop it over to see if it cures the problem. (Located under drivers seat, just unplugs) If this is the case then...
