    Series 2 disco with transmission temp problem

    Be careful taking the temp sensor out of the oil cooler. It is screwed in to a Rivnut - basically an uber pop rivet tapped with a thread. What can happen (it did to me) is the thread on the sensor is tighter than the rivnut's grip on the cooler. Result is knackered cooler! :doh: Certainly...

    Torch the f****r

    At least you can mend it. They are the most unreliable things ever made but I do love mine. Series 2 have got the added fun of loads of well dodgy electronics which play up in the wet and air suspension which is fine but costs a mint to fix.
