The Dashboard lights stay on permanantly, even when the key is removed from the ignition, alos the speedo/rev/fuel and temp guage do not work. apart from that is all perfect LOL!:)

I have been in contact with them as well, Callrova came in at a cheaper price than carelect. but i wanted to see if there was any feedback about them?

Dont know if you have solved this prolem or not, but on some multichangers such as Clarion,Kenwood and alpine, you can slide a credit card longways underneath the cd cassette and it hits a small button which is a manual release for such circumstances.

Just an update, brought a replacement dash and unforunatly same problem, so im guessing the problem is deeper down (BECM! Doh!)

unless you are an extremely well off 17 yr old i'd say not! stick with something small engined to begin with, My first car was a MG metro and i paid £1300 third party only and that was 13 yrs ago! and the engine was only a 1.3!!

Just to keep you updated, i have got hold of another dash, to try, just waiting for it to be delivered, so hopefully may cure the problem! i'll keep you posted

Well after all your helpful suggestions, i took the fusebox apart, and thourghly checked all of that which turned out to be ok, thenheck all the wiring looms back to the BECM and the sockets going into the BECM, then takled the BECM itself. No obvious corrosion or damage visable? Do you think...
